this past sunday marked leica as six months old.
oh, how the time flies!
my mom came to visit us this weekend, too.
leica celebrated by sitting up by himself for the first time!
barbie's visit was so fun. we spent a lot of time outside.
the weather is finally enjoyable down here, so
we threw down a blanket,
listened to the birds, and felt the breeze.
my mom stayed with leica one night so that dustin and i could go out to dinner by ourselves. she also stayed with leica half of saturday while dustin and i worked on his house.
they got to know each other a little better.

really, the time has flown by. ive had a few really strange dreams over the past week or so having to do with infants and i think its just on my mind. leica's growing up! there is so much ahead of us, but i cannot believe that he's already been here for 6 months.
i laid out the onesie that leica came home in from the hospital. it was huge and baggy on him then, but now it barely goes down to his belly button.
we went to his pediatrician today for his 6 month wellness check.
this is how he measured.
weight: 17lbs 6oz
height: 26.5 inches
head: 43 cm
his measurements hit right at the 50th percentile.
dr. sharp said leica's growth chart looks great, especially for being a month early. he's definitely got an appetite on him and over the past month or so has really started to focus concentrated attention on our food as well as his own.
soon enough, my sweet boy, you'll be eating the pot roasts, pastas and stir fry mom and dad make right along with us.
